I am a Yorkshire-based singer inspired by fantastic artists such as Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan, Anita O'Day, Cassandra Wilson and Betty Carter... but also the contemporary vibes of Jill Scott, Lauryn Hill, Angie Stone, The Roots and Erykah Badu.
I admire the new generation of musicians coming out of Dune Records and the Jazz Warriors and am trying to follow in their footsteps. In fact I draw influences from many places including Miles Davis and Bob Marley and from Soca and Salsa to Drum 'n' Bass and I always try to keep an open mind.
